Shivam, aged 16, studies in school in Class 11th also works as a laborer to support his family during covid times. It is through the Functional Literacy program that he first learned the usages of a computer. He has learned how to use a mouse and has also learned to use smartphones effectively. He loves gadgets but was lacking support to learn these new technologies appropriately. Now with help of FLiP phase 2 he used the laptop and smartphones. His favorite topic was the balanced diet as he states he always wanted to go to the gym and build his body but the diet plans and how to keep his body fitter was missing. During the class, the projector enabled lessoned creatively to make him understand the nuances of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. He now insists his family take a wholesome diet and stay fit. He has encouraged his father of using a mobile calculator to keep the accounts and has made an expense book for his daily expenses. He wants to learn more, learn the use of the internet, and how to download documents from the internet. He shares that since he started getting digital education, his self-confidence has increased. He feels that in the future he can take up any job which involves the use of computers.
