HP SAMPARK successfully organized one of its most memorable Annual Monsoon Car Rally on 10th Aug. 2019 setting aside weather related challenges - a family drive for a cause to outskirts to explore how thick clouds in a silver grey sky and parched brown landscape has given way to lush greenery and to experience the mesmerizing transformation. This year, there was a magical touch to everything - from start to finish and till the time participants reached home safe – as felt by both the organizing team as well as the participants. It began with an overwhelming response to the announcement of the car rally. In less than 48 hrs. forty four (44) teams led their nominations – much above the targeted thirty (30). It was thrilling to see even a differently-abled officer from MR, coming forward to participate in the rally. The general mood seemed to be: “We don’t care how long it takes. But we are I going somewhere beautiful, and it will be fun.” On 9th August evening, team leaders attended the briefing session conducted by WIAA – Western India Automobile Association – the rally partners and on 10th August 2019 – early morning by 6 am all cars – many of them beautifully decorated with beautifully worded messages for HP SAMPARK lined up at ANNUAL MONSOON CAR RALLY 2019 FROM MUMBAI TO PALGHAR HPNE – Colony. Some of the teams ready to bag the best dressed team’s prize were present in eye-catching attires. Shri Pushp Joshi - Director-HR along with Shri Rakesh Misri Executive Director – Marketing Coordination flagged off the cars in the presence Executive Director – HR and CGM – CSR. The first car rolled out at 6.40 am, followed by 36 more cars every 2 minutes. It was a joy was to see Director-HR and Executive Director – Marketing Coordination after flagging off all cars, joining their respective teams as navigators not to miss the excitement and fun. Indeed, a proud moment for HP Sampark to have both our Seniors at the rally for 3rd time as volunteers, ready to contribute in the social activities planned at the destination. As Sun smiled above, the drive to Palghar proved to be one of the best long drive - with lush green hills, clouds drifting across the peaks, waterfalls breaking the silence around and occasional rain - presenting Nature itself in fully glory to all. The destination was equally special as the journey. A HOME for 92 special children – hearing impaired and speech deficiency – J V S Shapariya Karnabadhir Vidyalaya, where as part of CSR - 2 Audiometry machines, Water Purifiers, Music system were presented including painting of School . Additionally, HP SAMPARK Volunteers – donated items for the HOME. It was heartening to see every team carrying bags of Rice, wheat, cereals and toiletry items. School received 3 months’ stock of groceries. As a part of Shram Daan volunteers enthusiastically participated in Painting the School building, planting trees and distribution of school kits to school children.
